FAQ’s for longer tours
Q. What is the approximate cost of a motorcycle tour?
A. A seven night tour for 4 persons would be approximately £950pp and for 8 persons would be approximately £750pp. A fourteen night tour for 4 persons would be approximately £1550pp and for 8 persons approximately £1100pp. All costs are based on two persons sharing a double en suite room and include a full English breakfast. This price does not include the use of the luggage support vehicle and this will be quoted for upon request. These prices are only approximate and each tour is quoted for on an individual basis.
Q. Why is it so expensive?
A. Our tours are tailor made to your requirements and are exclusive to you. Certain overheads are fixed, such as travel operators insurance and liability insurance. Obviously the more persons that are booked on a tour the less per person the fixed overheads will cost. Our accommodation is a minimum of AA two star and this quality also comes at a price.
Q. What is the standard of the accommodation that you use?
A. Our accommodation is carefully chosen to be in keeping with your tour and will be a minimum of AA 2 Star to a maximum of 4 Star. Usually the accommodation will be Coaching Inns and Hotels. Occasionally however, we may use an exceptionally high quality Guest Accommodation. The standard of accommodation for each location will be indicated to you on the quote.
Q. Will there be anyone else on the motorcycle tour with us?
A. Not unless you specifically request it. Our tours are exclusive to you. The tour guide is with you for the duration of the tour and is only concerned with your tour. This way we can attend to your needs as they arise.
Q. How long will it take to quote for our motorcycle tour?
A. It takes approximately 30-40 man hours to design your tour and we have to rely on our suppliers quoting a price to us before we can finalise our quote to you. So it can take up to four weeks from your initial enquiry to you receiving the quote.
Q. How do we book if we are happy with the quote?
A. Once you are sure that this is the right sort of holiday for you then email us and we will send an invoice for the deposit.
Q. Can we alter something in the motorcycle tour if we are not happy with it?
A. Certainly. Should you not be happy with something in the quote we will gladly alter it and re-quote.
Q. How far do we ride each day?
A. Depending on the historic sites we visit the riding will be anywhere between 150 and 200 miles a day. The absolute maximum we would ride in one day is 250 miles.
Q. Can we have a day off riding?
A. All our tours of less than 8 days have a day break, and all tours over 8 days will have two days break. You can request more at the initial enquiry stage.
Q. Is it possible to have a motorcycle tour itinerary made for us but not have a guide?

Q. Do we have to have the historic element to our motorcycle tour?
A. Yes. Our tours are specifically designed to see Historic Britain. Many other operators in the UK offer a motorcycle tour service without this element.
